Why should you choose Long Tan - Nui Dat Battle Field Full Day?
Vietnam lived a turbulent XX century with several wars, regime changes and it has been a worldwide center of attention in some occasions. We can’t understand the present of that country without understanding Vietnam War, and there are multitude places where we can revive moments of that bloody war. Long Tan and Nui Dat battlefields were places where ANZAC’s (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) forces fought against Vietnamese forces. ITINERARY:
- Long Tan Battle was the greatest and most favorite battle of Australian Army during Vietnam War. The clash between Australian soldiers and People's Liberation Armed Forces of South Vietnam (PLAF) occurred on 18 – 19 Aug 1966 nearby a rubber forest in Long Tan commune, Vung Tau.
- Our car pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and depart for the trip. Upon arrival, there will have a local tour guide welcome you then starting a tour. Our first stop is Nui Dat Task Force Base , little remains of this camp except the columns of the main gate. The former runway is now a wide street in the local village and the old helipad is now a soccer field. A school established by the Australians is nearby.
- Later, we drive past the location of the Horseshoe to the Discourtesy Rubber Plantation. Visit the Long Tan Cross Memorial, which was deeply etched into ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) folklore. The action was fought between Australian forces and Viet Cong for 02 days.
- Later on, we transfer to Ba Ria Town for our lunch. In the afternoon, back to Ho Chi Minh City, our car drops you off at you hotel.
